Slope of a straight line

  1. In general, the slope of a line gives the measure of its steepness and direction.
  2. Mathematically, a slope of a line is the change in y coordinate with respect to the change in x coordinate.
  3. If x1,y1 and x2,y2 are any two points lying on the line (i.e., the distance between there two points is less than the length of line). Then, the slope of a straight line can be calculated using the formula, Slope m=y2-y1x2-x1

Hence, the distance between there two points should be less than the length of line.
