to the unfavourable, cloud-like disposition of the royal family
towards Mirabai.

then be intercepted by the queen.

was played by a servant whom the queen had sent.

Charnamrit literally means “nectar from the feet of the Gods”.
Here, it is the water which is used for washing Rana Sanga’s
feet. The nurse screams because she is sure that it is poisoned.
