Ramanujam is worried about getting his daughter Kamakshi married for
the following reasons:
Her
grandfather was worrying him to find her a husband.
She
was rejected by some
of the prospective grooms because they did not approve of her
appearance.
The
marriage season was closing, with only three more auspicious dates
remaining, and all the possibilities for finding a match for her
were exhausted.
The
boy
who was finally found was going abroad for three years and so the
marriage had to be quickly arranged.
