Solution

The correct option is B 24 cm2
Given : ABCD is a parallelogram,
AB= 8 cm, BC= 6 cm.
PQRS is a rhombus.

As the rhombus is made from joining the midpoints AD=PR=BC and also they are parallel to each other, similarly AB=SQ=DC and they are also parallel to each other.

we know area of rhombus
= 12×(product of diagonals)
= 12×(PR×SQ)
= 12×(6×8) .....(PR=BC, AB=SQ)
= 482 = 24 cm2
