Humidity is the amount of moisture present in the atmosphere. Humidity of a place depends upon its temperature. As the air gets warmer, its capacity to hold water vapour increases and so it becomes more and more humid. On humid days, the water from wet clothes has no space to evaporate as the air is already saturated with water molecules. Therefore it's difficult to dry clothes in humid climate.
Regions close to water bodies having high temperatures are likely to have humid climates as water molecules evaporate, absorbing heat from the Sun.
