Given, Feroz borrowed ₹ 6400 for 3.5 years at 15 %.

$S i m p l e I n t e r e s t = \frac{P \times R \times T}{100}$

So, the interest earned
$= \frac{6400 \times 15 \times 7}{100 \times 2}$

= ₹ 3360

Rashmi borrowed ₹ 6400 for 5 yr at 15 %.

So, the interest earned
$= \frac{6400 \times 15 \times 5}{100} =$ ₹ 4800
$∴$ Difference between interests = ₹ (4800 - 3360) = ₹ 1440

Hence, the difference in interest, paid by them is ₹ 1440.
