Solution

The correct option is A (i) 6 and 8 (ii) Tens and Ones
Say: On our screen, we have an arrangement of 3 numbers at three places of Hundreds, Tens, and Ones.
They reshuffle, and they are now arranged like this: 7 sits on the Hundreds chair, 8 on the Tens, and 6 on the Ones.

Steps:
The new arrangement is: 7 sits on the Hundreds chair, 8 on the Tens, and 6 on the Ones.
The new number is 786.
From 768 to 786, the place values of 6 and 8 have changed. 6 Tens is now 6 Ones and 8 Ones is now 8 Tens.
Similarly, the fave values of Tens and Ones places have changed.
Hence, option D is the correct answer.

Probing Question:
Q: The place value of 6 has changed but has it increased or decreased?
A: 6 Tens is 60 and 6 Ones is 6. So, in the new arrangement, 6’s place value has decreased.
