In seventh class in soil chapter we learnt that top soil is fertile but then why at some places soil is not fertile

Dear student, Generally the top soil is the most fertile soil.
But you might have studied about soil pollution and all.
These things makes the soil less fertile.
Soil is an important natural resource. We need to keep good care of the fertile top soil so that it remain fertile at all the time.
So due to pollution and other human activities, the fertility of soil is less at some places.
