In some situations even though the liquid is conducting, the bulb in the tester may not glow. Why? How do we test the conductivity in such cases? [3 MARKS]

Explanation: 3 Marks

If the current through a circuit is too weak, the filament does not get heated sufficiently and it does not glow. As a result, although the circuit of the tester is complete, yet the current through it will not cause the bulb to glow.

In such cases , we can use the tester with LED bulb or magnetic compass which can detect low current values.
