In spermatogenesis, a primary spermatocyte produces four similar sperms, while in oogenesis a primary oocyte forms -one large ova and 2-3 polar bodies. Q.: Why is it given 2-3 polar bodies, while if we count the division the number of polar bodies add up to only two? In which case do we have three polar bodies?
