In the maturation phase of spermatogenesis spermatozoa is formed from secondary spermatocyte. In this phase first maturation division is reductional and produces two secondary spermatocyte. The latter divides by equational division (second maturation division) to form four haploid spermatids. Spermatids receive nourishment from the sertoli cells to from sperms (called spermiogenesis). Thus, the correct answer is option C.
