Solution

The correct option is C the formation of spermatids from primary spermatocytes through meiosis
Spermatogenesis is the process of formation of spermatozoa from spermatogonium.
The process of spermatogenesis happens in 4 different phases- multiplication phase, growth phase, maturation phase and spermiogenesis.
In the multiplication phase the spermatogonia is produced by mitosis.
This spermatogonia undergoes the growth phase, in which it grows in size and forms the primary spermatocyte.
The primary spermatocyte undergoes meiosis to form the circular cells called spermatids. This phase is called the maturation phase.
The spermatids undergoes physiological changes to give rise to the spermatozoa. This phase is known as spermiogenesis.
