In a square all sides are of equal lengths
$\Rightarrow P R = Q S$
$\Rightarrow 5 x = 9 x - 8$
$\Rightarrow 4 x = 8$
$\Rightarrow x = 2$
$\Rightarrow Q S = P R = 5 (2) = 10$
