(a) In the first line, ‘stormy’ refers to the hostile attitude of Lord Ullin towards his daughter’s elopement. In the second line ‘stormy’ refers to the storm in the lake.

(b) The dilemma which the lady faces is that she can either go back to an angry father or face a stormy sea.

She chooses to faces the stormy sea.
