The marked carbon is clearly chiral since there are four different groups bonded with it. Of the four functional groups, it is clear that 'H' has the least priority number that is 4 and 'H' is under the plane. Since the chiral carbon is connected to the nitrogen in amine group, amine group will have the priority number '1'. In both of the remaining groups, chiral carbon is connected to a carbon. However in benzyl, the carbon connected with chiral centre is connected to carbons while in pyridine it is connected to one nitrogen and one carbon. Hence pyridyl(2) has higher priority than benzyl(3). Now we can see that the arc formed by functional groups is in clockwise direction. Hence the given compound is in R configuration.
