The correct option is B 9 cm

ABCD is a parallelogram, where ALCD and AMBC
AB=12cm,AD=8cm and AL=6cm
We know, opposite sides of a parallelogram are equal.
AB=CD and AD=BC
CD=12cm and BC=8cm
Area of a parallelogram ABCD=AL×CD
=6×12
=72cm2 ------ ( 1 )
Area of a parallelogram ABCD=AM×BC
=AM×8 ------- ( 2 )
Comparing ( 1 ) and ( 2 ), we get
AM×8=72
AM=9cm
