Question

In the absence of photosynthesis, life is impossible on the earth. Explain

Open in App
Solution

All heterotrophic organisms on earth depend directly or indirectly for food prepared by plants through photosynthesis. Also, photosynthesis maintains oxygen level in the atmosphere. Thus, in absence of photosynthesis, the food and oxygen which are necessary for life on earth will not be available to living organisms. Hence, they will not be able to survive.
