In the absence of the clotting enzymes due to prostate malfunction, which of the following is not produced?
Fibrin
Fibrinogen produced by seminal vesicle is acted upon by clotting enzymes produced by the prostate to form fibrin which clots the semen. A fibrin-degrading enzyme called fibrinolysin is also present in the secretions of the prostate. These substances make sure that the sperm is delivered to the female reproductive tract appropriately. If the clotting enzymes are absent then fibrin cannot form, therefore clot formation will be hampered.
