In the adjacent figure, measures of some angles are given. Prove that ABCDCB by ASA congruence condition.

Step 1: Find the value of ABC and DCB

From the figure,

ABC=ABD+DBC=30°+40°=70°

DCB=DCA+ACB=40°+30°=70°

Step 2: Proving that ABCDCB by ASA congruence condition

ABC=DCB [ Each angle 70° ]

BC=CB [ Common side ]

BCA=CBD [ Each angle 40° ]

Therefore, by ASA congruence condition ABCDCB
