$\therefore \angle i+\angle r={90}^{\circ }$
Again as per geometry, at mirror $M_2$,
$\angle i^{{}^{\prime }}=\angle r^{{}^{\prime }}={45}^{\circ }$
$\therefore \angle i^{{}^{\prime }}+\angle r^{{}^{\prime }}={90}^{\circ }$
As alternate angles are equal, so, the reflected ray travels horizontally after reflection from the mirror $M_2$.
