The biological diversity is divided in hierarchy level -genetic diversity, species diversity and community, and ecosystem diversity.
  • Genetic diversity is the diversity in the number and type of genes as well as chromosome present in different species and the variation in the genes and their aliens in the same species.
  • Species diversity is the variety in the number and richness of a species of a region. The number of species per unit area is known as species richness. The number of individuals of different species represents species evenness.
