The correct option is B 8/7Ω

By symmetry,
Current in arm CE= Current in arm ED. The resistance of the network will not be affected if the wire CED is disconnected from the wire AED at the point E, as shown in below figure.

R4 and R5 in series R45=2Ω
R45 is in parallel with R2R452=2×12+1=23Ω
R1,R452 and R3 in series 1+23+1=83Ω(1)
R6 and R8 in series 2Ω(2)
(1) and (2) are in parallel connection.
The resusltant resistance,
1Req=38+12=3+48=78
Req=87Ω is the correct answer.
