The circuit can be visualized as a parallel combination of two non-ideal cells shown below.


The equivalent emf of above arrangement is given by

Eeq=E1r1E2r21r1+1r2

Eeq=956315+13=(273015)(3+515)

Eeq=38 V

And effective internal resistance of parallel combination is given by

1req=13+151req=815

req=158 Ω

Redrawing circuit,


Thus, for simplified circuit, effective resistance will be

Req=158+1=238 Ω

Current in circuit,

i=EeqReq

i=(3/8)(23/8)=323=0.13 A

Thus, direction of current in 1 Ω resistor will be form Q and P and its value is 0.13 A.
