Given, E=20cos2000t

Comparing above equation with E=E0cosωt , we get

E0=20 V and ω=2000 rad/sec

Here, Ammeter reads the source current which is

I=(Vrms)sourceZ

Where, Z2=R2eq+(XLXC)2

XL=ωL=2000×5×103=10 Ω

XC=1ωC=12000×50×106=10 Ω

=(6+4)2+(1010)2=102

Z=10 Ω

So, I=(Erms)sourceZ=202×10=2

I=1.414 A
