In the circuit shown in figure potential difference between point A and B is 16V Find the cureent passing through 2 rsistance.

Assume the values of current in the main branch as well as in the loop.
Write equations of KCL and KVL for the loop and the branch.
Let the current in the 2 ohm resistor be i1+i2i1+i2
then using KVL equation in closed loop
9i22(i1+i2)=09−i2−2(i1+i2)=0 ........................(1)
4i1+2(i1+i2)3+4i1=164i1+2(i1+i2)−3+4i1=16 ................(2)
solving we get i1=1.5i1=1.5 and i2=2i2=2
Thus current through 2 ohm resistor is 3.5 ohms
