The correct option is C 12 V
At, t=, in the steady state, no current flow through capacitor C. So, no current will pass through the right most resistor. The current flow is shown in figure.


So, the equivalent resistance,

Req=2R×R2R+R+R

Req=5R3

Given, R=3 Ω

Req=5 Ω

So, the current passing through the cell, i=155=3 A

Therefore, from figure,

i2=i×R2R+R=3×13=1 A,

i1=31=2 A

Potential across capacitor C,

VC=VDF=VDE+VEF

VC=Ri2+R(i1+i2)

VC=3(1)+3(2+1)=12 V

Hence, option (C) is the correct answer.
