Both living and non-living things are made up of molecule and molecules are a group of aggregated atoms bound by a chemical bond and hence we can say that they both are a collection of atoms. Since atoms occupy space and have mass, the living things and non-living things also have mass and occupy space.
But responding to stimuli is an exceptionally distinguished character of living things only making it an opposite character of non-living things.
Hence option "respond to stimuli" is correct.
