Let the C.P. of 1 pen =Re. 1
C.P of 12 pens=Rs. 12×1
=Rs. 12
Hence, given
C.P. of 12 pens = S.P of 16 pens
S.P of 16 pens=Rs. 12
C.P of 16 pens=Rs. 16
Loss=C.PS.P
=1612
=4 Rs.
Loss %=LossC.P×100
=416×100
=25%.
