It is given that segment RM and segment RN are tanget segments touching the circle at M and N, respectively.
OMR=ONR=90(Tangent at any point of a circle is perpendicular to the radius through out the point of contact.)
OM=5cm and OR=10cm
In right angled OMR
OR2=OM2+MR2
MR=OR2OM2=10252=10025=75=53cm
Tangent segments drawn from an external point to a circle are congruent.
MR=NR=53cms
