Solution

The correct option is A a-motor action, b-photosynthesis, c-conduction, d-transpiration

In the anatomy of dicot leaf, outer most layer is the epidermis, present on both sides as the upper or adaxial epidermis and lower or abaxial epidermis.

Stomata, trichomes and cuticle are present in the epidermis. More number of stomata are present in the lower epidermis than upper epidermis. Mesophyll is present between upper and lower epidermis. It is parenchymatous, differentiated into upper palisade tissue, which performs photosynthesis, and lower spongy tissue, performs aeration, and photosynthesis. A central vascular bundle is present, with outer parenchymatous thick walled bundle sheath and inner xylem towards upper side and phloem towards lower side. Vascular bundles are collateral, conjoint, closed.

In the diagram a – represents – trichomes – motor action, b-represents mesophyll - photosynthesis and c-xylem – conduction, d-represents stomata – transpiration.

So, the correct option is ‘ a-motor action, b-photosynthesis c-conduction and d-transpiration.
