Dear Student,

Here is the answer:

a) The Revolutionary Government mentioned here is the Directory.
Before the French Revolution, the people of France were divided into social groups called "Estates." The First Estate included the clergy, the Second Estate included the nobles, and the Third Estate included the commoners who paid most of the taxes. At the beginning of the French Revolution the representatives from the Third Estate established the National Assembly. This group took control of the country. They changed names from Legislative Assembly to National Convention. After Reign of Terror, The Directory ruled till Napoleon took control of France.

b) The discriminations faced by the women before French revolution were:
1) Women had no voting rights. They were considered passive citizens.
