Solution
The correct option is B NAD to FMN.
Electron transport chain is present in the inner membrane of the mitochondrion. It consists of different enzymes and coenzymes which act as hydrogen and electron carriers. These carriers are arranged according to their increasing positive potential. Hydrogen from NADH is first transferred to Co-Q via FMN or Flavin Mono Nucleotide (i.e. from NADH to FMN and from FMN to Co-Q) and Co-Q liberates protons and electrons. For every pair of electrons that enter by the way of NADH, three ATP molecules are formed. Hence, in ETC first ATP molecule is generated when the hydrogen is passed from NAD to FMN.
