let the constant of proportionality be x
so salary of skilled workers = 5x
salary of unskilled workers = 3x
total salary = 5x+3x=8x
Given salary per day =720 rs
Hence we get 8x=720
x=720/8 = 90 rs

Salary of skilled workers = 5x = 590 = 450 Rs
Salary of unskilled workers = 3x = 390 = 270 Rs
