Given , T1=T2=T (say for our convinience) in problem solving.)
Apply torque equation about COM of ROD;
T(0.5L)=T(0.2L)+W(0.2L)
w=3W2-------->1
apply torque equation about point at which W is tied,
T(0.4L)=T(0.3L)+500(0.2L)
T=1000N .
substitute T ,calculated in 1;
W=1500N.
