$Given : Line ED ∥ line AB E - C - D ∠ A = 65 ° and ∠ B = 35 °$

$Since E D ∥ A B, we have, z = ∠ B = 35 ° (Alternate angles) x = ∠ A = 65 ° (Alternate angles) Also, x + y + z = 180 ° \Rightarrow 35 ° + y + 65 ° = 180 ° \Rightarrow y = 80 °$
