In the figure a circle is inscribe in a square of side $14cm$. Find the area of the circle of the shaded region.

from figure,side of square $=$ diameter of circle

$14=2r$
$2r=14$

$r=7cm$

Area of circle $=\pi {\left(r\right)}^2$

$=\frac{22}{7}\times 7\times 7$

Area$=154{cm}^2....\left(1\right)$

Also area of $square={\left(14\right)}^2=196{cm}^2$

Area pf shaded portion $=(196-154){cm}^2$

$=42{cm}^2$

Hence, the area of shaded region $=42{cm}^2$
