In the figure ammeter reads $I_{1}$ and voltmeter reads $V_{1}$ . Similarly in figure 2, ammeter reads $I_{2}$ and voltmeter reads $V_{2}$ . Then which of the statements are true?

Solution

The correct option is B $V_{1} > V_{2}$ and $I_{1} < I_{2}$
In Fig 1
$V_{1} = I_{1} (R_{1} + R_{2}) I_{1} = \frac{V_{1}}{R_{1} + R_{2}}$

In Fig 2
$V_{2} = I_{2} R_{1} = I_{2} R_{2} I_{2} = \frac{V_{2}}{R_{1}} + \frac{V_{2}}{R_{2}}$
$I_{2} = V_{2} (\frac{1}{R_{1}} + \frac{1}{R_{2}})$

By equatimg Fig1 value and Fig 2 value
$V_{1} > V_{2}$
And
$I_{2} > I_{1}$
Option (B) is correct option.
