The correct option is A x=5cm and y=21316cm

In BCD and BEF,

DBC=FBE (Common angle)

BCD=BEF (Corresponding angles of parallel lines CD and EF)

BDC=BFE (Corresponding angles of parallel lines CD and EF)

Thus, BCDBEF (AAA rule)

Hence, BCBE=BDBF=CDEF (Corresponding sides)

xx+3=BDBF=y4.5 ..(I)
Similarly, FCDFAB

Thus, FCFA=CDAB=FDFB

y7.5=DFBF (II)

From I and II,

BD=y4.5BF and DF=y7.5BF

BD+DF=BF

y4.5BF+y7.5BF=BF

7.5y+4.5y=7.5×4.5

y=4516
Also, xx+3=y4.5

xx+3=4516×4.5

xx+3=4572

72x=45x+135

27x=135

x=5 cm
