$\frac{BG}{GE}=\frac{2}{1}$

$⟹\frac{BG}{GE}+1=3$

$⟹\frac{BG+GE}{GE}=3$

$⟹\frac{BE}{GE}=3$

$⟹GE=\frac{9}{3}=3cm$

$BG=BE-GE=9-3=6cm$
