The correct option is C v1=2 m/s;v2=4 m/s
Given,
m1=2 kg ; m2=2 kg
u1=4 m/s ; u2=2 m/s
From principle of conservation of linear momentum:
m1u1+m2u2= m1v1+m2v2
v1+v2=2 -------(1)
Since nature of collision is perfectly elastic, we get
v2v1=u1u2
v2v1=6 ---------(2)
From (1) and (2)
v1=2 m/s and v2=4 m/s
(It means m1 will move towards left and m2 towards right after collision)
