In the figure the spring is compressed by x0 and released. Two blocks A and B of masses m and 2m , respectively , are attached at the ends of the springs. Blocks are kept on a smooth horizontal surface and released. then find the velocity of the blocks.

Two blocks A and B of masses m and 2m respectively.
Let, Vr be the relative velocity of the two.
Let, the reduced mass of the 2 block system be μ
μ=(m)(2m)m+2m=23m
From conservation of mechanical energy we have,
12Kx2=12μv2rKx2=μv2r=23mv2rvr=(3K2m)x
