In the following arrangement shown in Fig., the bulb will not glow if the ends A and B are connected with
(a) A steel spoon
(b) A metal clip
(c) A plastic clip
(d) A copper wire
Option (c) is the correct answer.
The bulb glows only if the circuit is closed and an electric current is passed through it. In order to make the circuit complete, the ends A and B should be connected to a conductor. Conductors are material which allows electric current to pass through it. A Plastic clip is non-conductor of electricity, and hence if you attach A and B with the plastic clip, electricity will not flow through the circuit.
