Applying KVL in the circuit (entire loop),

+510i2Xi=0

(10+X)i=3 ......(1)

And given that

VAVB=4 V

Again apply KVL from AB

VA2iX=VB

VAVB=2+iX=4

iX=2 ....(2)

Putting the value in equation (1),

10i+2=3i=110 A

From eq. (2), we get

110X=2

X=20 Ω
