We know that area of a triangle =

In ΔAPO and ΔDMO,

∠APO = ∠DMO (Each = 90°)

∠AOP = ∠DOM (Vertically opposite angles)

∴ ΔAPO ∼ ΔDMO (By AA similarity criterion)
