Question

In the following figure; AC = CD; BAD=110 and ACB=74. then BC > CD.
If the above statement is true then mention answer as 1, else mention 0 if false.

Solution

Since BCD is a straight line,
ACD=180o74o=106o

From the figure,
CAD=ADC=x (say)

Since sum of angles in a triangle ACD =180o
106o+x+x=180o

=>x=37o

Also, BAC=BADCAD=110o37o=73o
Since, BAC>CAD, the sides opposite to the angles will also have the same relation.
=>BC>CD
