If a triangle and a parallelogram are on the same base and between the same parallel, then the area of parallelogram would be twice of area of triangle.
Area of EDCB= 10 $\times$ 8 = 80 cm${}^2$.

We know in parallelogram , Opposite sides are parallel. Hence BE // CD and hence
area of CDF $=\frac{1}{2}\times 80=40c{m}^2$
