In the following figure, if LM || CB and LN || CD, prove that AMAB=ANAD.

In the given figure, LM || CB
By using basic proportionality theorem, we get,
MBAM=LCAL
MBAM+1=LCAL+1
ABAM=ACAL...(i)
Similarly, LN || CD
NDAN=LCAL
NDAN+1=LCAL+1
ADAN=ACAL ... (ii)
From (i) and (ii), we get
ABAM=ADAN or
AMAB=ANAD
