In the following figures GUNS and RUNS are parallelograms. Find x and y.

In parallelograms GUNS,
$\because$ Opposite sides are parallel and equal
$\therefore 3x=18\Rightarrow x=\frac{18}{3}=6$
and $3y-1=26\Rightarrow 3y=26+1=27$
$\Rightarrow y=\frac{27}{3}=9\therefore x=6,y=9$

(iii) Diagonals of a parallelogram bisect each other.
$\therefore y-7=20\Rightarrow y=20+7=27$
and $x-y=16$
$\Rightarrow x-27=16\Rightarrow x=16+27=43$
$\therefore x=43,y=27$
