In the following pair of integers, which number is to the right of the other on the number line?
–3, –8
As per the question we have to find which number is on the right of the other number on the number line for the numbers -3, -8.
We know that, as we go from left to right on the number line the value increases. So, the greater number will be on the right.
-3 > -8
(∵ For negative integers greater the numerical value of the number, lower will be its value)
∴ -3 is to the right of -8 on the number line.
