In the following replace * by the smallest number so that the given number is divisible by the number mentioned:
84*3 by3.

Divisibility rule of3- A number is divisible by 3 if the sum of its digits is divisible by 3.

Sum =8+4+3=15 which clearly is divisible by 3.

So, we can add 0 to 15 we will get 0+15=15 which is divisible by 3.

Therefore, 0 is the smallest number that can replace * in the given number making it divisible by 3.
